Stormi Truesdell

Stormi’s passion for movement started before she could even walk as she was introduced to the worlds of dance and gymnastics.  Throughout her adolescence, Stormi was a nationally ranked gymnast and dancer before beginning her focus on classical foundations at age 12.  She progressed with Distinction through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), earning several dance scholarships.

Stormi credits her training and student teaching opportunities under the late Joyce Seaborne Bader for her passion to teach and inspire others.  Continuing her love of movement and maintaining her own fitness goals as an adult naturally led Stormi to Pilates.  After her first class with Veronica Combs, she was determined to understand Joseph Pilates “Contrology” and started her journey as a student once again.

Fast forward to today, Stormi is a certified Power Pilates Instructor with 9 years experience.  In support of Veronica Combs’ Vbarre modality, Stormi expanded her teaching certifications in 2011.  In 2012, Stormi’s drive and professionalism afforded her the opportunity to join the ranks of only 55 Teacher Trainers for Power Pilates and to be within the first elite group of only five Teacher Trainers for Vbarre.

As a Teacher Trainer, Stormi embraces mentoring apprentices, testing, and supporting them through their rigorous certifications and benchmarks.  She has been responsible for the certification of instructors locally and nationally in both Power Pilates and Vbarre.  Stormi understands and respects her role as a Teacher Trainer and strives to be a good steward of the brands, maintain their consistency, and ensure her aspiring teachers are fully prepared for their professional journeys.

Observing the long-standing benefits of Pilates’ classical, systematic and integrative approach as well as Vbarre’s complementary philosophy, Stormi believes she has chosen the best of two worlds.  Movement, consistency, motivation, and discipline, each elements of Stormi’s approach as a student, instructor and teacher, play unwavering roles in Stormi’s ability to enable her clients to surpass their fitness and professional goals.

When she is not in the studio, Stormi can be found cheering her son Ty on in basketball or enjoying time on the patio.
